  • 1.7.1 Your consent to Our Privacy Policy is freely given when you use our website, Learning Management System (LMS), or Our Services or, where applicable, when you press the "accept" button on Our privacy notice or select your preferences in Our privacy settings or when you press "accept" to the Terms and Conditions when authorizing a purchase on our Website. You can withdraw this consent at any time for future data processing.
  • 1.7.2 If you are under eighteen (18) years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is older, you must have your parent's or guardian's permission before providing any personal information or consenting to any data processing that you voluntarily submit for the functioning of Our Services.   • 1.11 "Service": means collectively any online facilities, tools, services or information that Canademica Inc. makes available through the Web Site either now or in the future;
  • 1.12 "System": means any online communications infrastructure that Canademica Inc. makes available through the Web Site either now or in the future. This includes, but is not limited to, web-based email, message boards, live chat facilities and email links;
  • 1.13 "User" / "Users": means any third party that accesses the Web Site and is not employed by Canademica Inc. and acting in the course of their employment; and
  • 1.14 "Website": means the website that you are currently using (www.canademica.com) and any sub-domains of this site, unless expressly excluded by their own terms and conditions.
  • 1.15 "Payment or Billing Information" refers to any financial details required for the purchase of Services, including but not limited to credit/debit card numbers, bank account numbers, and other financial information necessary for processing payments.  This information is processed securely and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
  • 1.16 "Personal Data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ('data subject'), as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws.

  • 2.8 Marketing and Communications Data: your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences, as well as pertinent demographic or geolocation data.

  • 2.10 Data Retention: We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. The retention period for each category of data is as follows:

    - 2.10.2 Contact Data: For the duration of your account plus 2 years
    - 2.10.3 Profile Data: For the duration of your account plus 2 years
    - 2.10.4 Financial Data: 7 years (to comply with tax and accounting requirements)
    - 2.10.5 Technical Data: 2 years
    - 2.10.6 Usage Data: 2 years
    - 2.10.7 Marketing and Communications Data: Until you unsubscribe or request deletion
    You can request deletion of your data at any time, subject to our legal obligations to retain certain information.

3. Our Use of Data

  • 3.1 Any personal Data you submit will be retained by Canademica Inc. for as long as you use the Services and Systems provided on the Web Site. Data that you may submit through any communications System that we may provide may be retained for a longer period of up to one year.
  • 3.2 Unless we are obliged or permitted by law to do so, and subject to Clause 4, your Data will not be disclosed to third parties. This includes our affiliates and / or other companies within our group.
  • 3.3 All personal Data is stored securely in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998. For more details on security, see Clause 9 below.
  • 3.4 Any or all of the above Data may be required by us from time to time in order to provide you with the best possible service and experience when using our Web Site. Specifically, Data may be used by us for the following reasons:

- All users are required to setup and use two-factor authentication (2FA) measures to access their accounts, regularly monitoring, updating, and safeguarding their login details to protect their personal data on the LMS

  • 10.1 Users understand and acknowledge that use of the Website and Services is also governed by Our Terms and Conditions and other policies referenced therein, such as the Cookie Policy and the Safe and Respectful Learning Policy.
